Reflection 10: Blog project

When we first entered Computer Assisted in Language Learning class, we were required to create a blog and reflect the lessons on this subject throughout the semester. Blogging for us has been a path to not only to self expression but self fulfillment that has become a journey of self discovery. As technology becomes more prevalent in today’s world, students grow up with a greater awareness of the variety of uses of technology. For most of us nowadays, technological innovations are simply a way of life. Capitalizing on this is the classroom is essential and one of the best ways to accomplish that is through the creation of student blogs.

Writing a blog to reflect lessons in the classroom moves us beyond commentaries on life, entertainment, and other social ideas. It allows us to gain a deeper understanding of content we are learning as we actually synthesize the information. Students love the opportunity to express themselves and blogging allows them to do just that.

This blog project should be continue since it can be an opportunity for the students to share their knowledge on this subject. As Prophet Muhammad said:“When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge and righteous offspring who will pray for him.” [SahihMuslim: 3084]. Therefore, the students should use this opportunity wisely to spread their knowledge.
