In completing the lesson plan that was assigned to us, we have undergone a few phases in two weeks given. One day after the assignment given, we have agreed to meet and discuss the plan that we were going to do. We decided to teach elementary students around twenty students. After discussing a few ideas, then we came out with teaching the poem for that targeted group of students.. We picked the poem entitled “Life’s Brief Candle” by William Shakespeare. However, we found out that this poem is much advance and not suitable for elementary students. The language and meaning of the poem are much advance for the targeted students. Students tend to hardly understand as the words in the poem are too complicated for them to understand the meaning behind it. The second suggestion for our lesson plan was about the short story “Aladdin, Genie and the Magic Lamp”. It is a quite interesting and much understandable topic for the students. Unfortunately, after going through the topic, we thought that it is a common topic that everybody already known even the kindergarten kids already heard the story. Thus, we decided to change to another topic. After that, we did some surveys regarding on how we need to create the exact lesson plan.

We asked a few of our seniors that have taken computer application subject during the semester before and they suggested to use an interesting application that can interact students especially for our target which are in primary school. One of our group mates, Suhaila herself has consulted with her own mother as a teacher and also, her friends from Tesl course. After that, together we gathered the information and used them to create our own lesson plan entitled “Animal Planet” using Kahoot! application. This topic much more realistic and it is a fact-based-topic, therefore, the students will enjoy know a lot of facts about animals rather than what they have used to know before. After completing doing the draft in the first hand, we once again, have consulted sister Fairuz and she looked at our lesson plan and giving a few suggestions for us to modify it better. Using Kahoo! application, we found that this application is an interesting application whereby the game can be carried out for students mentoring by the teacher himself. They should have signed in an account each of them before going through the application and the teacher will monitor the games for example, from the main computer. The questions will come out the white screen in front and students need to select the correct answer form their own tablets or hand phones. We do hope that the application will tend to be convenient and suitable for students especially in elementary school to learn while playing some games. At least they get some input during their enjoy time.
